Hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD) is a global and common infectious disease caused by enteroviruses, which characterizes by fever and vesicular eruptions on the hands, feet, and mouth. The pathogenic spectrum of HFMD is composed of a variety of enteroviruses (EV). Of all these HFMD-causing EVs, non-EV71 and non-CA16 types of EVs, especially Coxsackie virus group A type 6 (CA6) and Coxsackie virus group A type 10 (CA10), have drawn increasing attention in recent years.
